The newly established European Remanufacturing Network has announced its first ERN networking event scheduled for January 21, 2016, in Bayreuth, Germany.
The venue will be the Chair of Manufacturing and Re-manufacturing Technology at the University of Bayreuth and the Fraunhofer Project Group Process Innovation. In early August the parties opened a new, multimillion euro research centre adjacent to the city’s university.
Founded earlier in 2015, the European Remanufacturing Network aims at helping existing remanufacturers improve their operations, improving the competitiveness of remanufacturers domestically and internationally and raising the profile of the European remanufacturing industry.
The January event will kick off with an introduction followed by the presentation of the results of the European wide remanufacturing market study undertaken by ERN. Special focus will be on challenges in remanufacturing, including round-table discussions on key topics for remanufacturing businesses, the organisers say. The day will be concluded with a networking dinner. Remanufacturers as well as companies interested in remanufacturing are invited.
