Felix Feuerbach accepts seat in Remanufacturer of the Year awards jury

Friday, 8 June 2018

As you may know, the Remanufacturer of the Year awards have been restyled into 3 different categories. In addition, the jury panel has also gone through changes and we are very proud to introduce our newest jury member: Felix Feuerbach, who is happy to be judging in this most prestigious award in the remanufacturing sector.

As one of the founding members of the KBC company, Felix has been involved in remanufacturing projects since 2010. This has gained him a lot of experience and he uses his knowledge to consult clients in the remanufacturing industry. With a know-how and a hands-on approach, he consults in reman strategies, portfolio- design and processes definition in order to cater for remanufacturing initiative requirements.

His mission with KBC is very clear on the remanufacturing industry. Felix explains that “So far, our customers are mainly OEM car and truck manufacturers with some Tier 1 suppliers in between.” About the vision in the remanufacturing industry for the upcoming years and challenges that this sector faces, Felix replies: “My perspective on the reman industry for the next 5 years is that it will continue to grow with a stronger focus on electrics and electronics, this results in the fact that the competition in cores will get harder. Established remanufacturers in the automotive industry face changes from new drive/power technologies and even more electronic components per car - a challenge for some, a chance for others.’’

3 Questions for Felix on his perspective on remanufacturing

1.    What is your relation with remanufacturing?

'I’ve been involved in remanufacturing projects since 2010, consulting clients in reman- strategy, portfolio- design and reman process definition to cater for their remanufacturing initiative’s requirements. So far, our customers are mainly OEM car and truck manufacturers with some Tier 1 suppliers in between.'

2.    What is your perspective on remanufacturing for the next 5 years?

'I believe manufacturing will continue to grow with a stronger focus on electrics and electronics'

3.    What do you think will be the biggest challenges in reman?

'The competition for cores will get harder. Established remanufacturers in the automotive industry face changes from new drive/power technologies and even more electronic components per car - a challenge for some, a chance for others.'

The ReMaTec team is more than happy that Felix accepted his seat in the jury, do you think you can convince him that you are the best remanufacturer of the year 2018? Check out the RotY page and enter the competition now!
