Federal-Mogul Motorparts, a division of Federal-Mogul Holdings Corp., last week extended its “Garage Gurus” training concept further. The move, resulting in a new facility in Florida, reflects the growing need for specialized training for vehicle repair businesses in the US.
Federal-Mogul Motorparts manufactures and supplies a portfolio of replacement products, including ANCO wiper blades, Champion spark plugs, Fel-Pro gaskets, MOOG steering and suspension components, Sealed Power engine parts, and Wagner and Ferodo brake products, the company says.
“Today more than ever, front-line automotive repair professionals are demanding more training to stay current with ever-changing diagnostic and repair requirements as they work tirelessly to keep consumers safe in their vehicles,” said Dan Ninivaggi, CEO, Federal-Mogul Motorparts. “We are committed to filling our responsibility to provide the training and support these professionals require.”
Accessing critical diagnostic and repair information and related skills-based training has long been a challenge for USA’s nearly 220,000 automotive repair businesses.
“Garage Gurus answers this need through more than 100 on-site, online and on-demand courses taught by Federal-Mogul Motorparts certified ‘Gurus’. Each course is offered in English and Spanish languages.”
Area technicians, shop owners and others will now get a first-hand look at the modern diagnostic equipment and other resources available in the new Florida training center in Miramar. The new center is the eighth of up to 15 Garage Gurus locations scheduled to open this year. The network is already operating in Atlanta; Baltimore; Chicago; Dallas/Fort Worth; the Bronx, New York and Rancho Dominguez, California.
