ZF and Borg Automotive speak about Additive Manufacturing in Remanufacturing
On 10 March the fourth virtual online symposium on Innovation and Automation in Remanufacturing is hosted by University of applied Science in Trier and FJW Consulting with the support of APRA, ERC, FIRM and Rematec. This edition is about European Additive Manufacturing in Remanufacturing and features speakers from the University of Bayreuth, ZF Aftermarket and Borg Automotive.
The objective of the conference is to demonstrate how the revolution in traditional remanufacturing processes is being driven by innovation and automation.
The programme will include the following 3 presentations:
PresentationAdditive Manufacturing and Remanufacturing – made for each other. Perspective from the University of Bayreuth
Speakers: Professor Frank Döpper, Jan Koller, Chair Manufacturing and Remanufacturing Technology and Christian Bay, Research Centre for Additive Innovations at the University of Bayreuth
In their presentation, they will match the challenges of modern remanufacturing with potentials and opportunities of additive manufacturing. Based on this, they will discuss future solutions for a sustainable application of additive manufacturing in the context of remanufacturing.
Additive manufacturing at ZF Aftermarket - key challenges for the Remanufacturing Industry
Speaker: Jirka Horvath, Director ZF Aftermarket Operations Europe & EMEA & Operations Remanufacturing. Apra Europe Director.
Additive Manufacturing at ZF Aftermarket By ZF Aftermarket
Integration of Additive Manufacturing in Borg Automotive Remanufacturing Process
Speaker: Jesper Moberg, Borg Automotive Director, Business Development
Following the presentations, to animate the discussion, Dr Rachel Waugh, Technical Consultant, European Remanufacturing Council, Brussels, is invited to comment. The Video-Audience will also be invited to ask questions.
