Could you share some interesting facts and figures about the remanufacturing market in your region, such as its size, potential, and which segments are currently the main focus?

Nigel Hurcomb: The UK has a very longstanding and well established Automotive Reman Industry with its main focus on the ICE segment of the market. As OEM move their production from ICE vehicles to Electric the Reman industry is set to play a key role in the supply of ICE automotive spares helping to keep older vehicles on the road and reducing premature recycling of vehicles. This can help both the Reman and Recycling industries to be as green as possible.

What trends and developments do you see in your country and among exhibitors of Rematec?

Nigel Hurcomb: In recent times the UK Reman industry is following the trend towards the electrification of the Automotive industry and we have some leading and innovative technologies in Battery Reman. These developments enable battery packs to have a second life giving up to 90% state of health. The market is also developing more web based systems across the industry enabling quicker and more efficient ways of doing business.
