Fastest growth ever for remanufacturing trade show Rematec

ReMaTec, the world’s leading remanufacturing trade show, has reported to have already booked over 75% of the available stands for its 2017 show, taking place from 18 until 20 June 2017. With 17 months to go before the networking event opens its doors to remanufacturing specialists from around the world, many big names in the industry have already confirmed their participation.

The remanufacturing industry has seen tremendous growth over the past few years. The recently published European Remanufacturing Network market study, funded by the prestigious European Union Horizon 2020 project, estimates the current European market to be worth just under €30 billion with a potential to triple in size to €90 billion by 2030.

Show Manager Niels Klarenbeek says the growth of the industry is reflected on the show’s floor plan, which has never filled up faster. “We’ve received a great response from both participating and new companies after ReMaTec2015. Many companies have rebooked, but we are also seeing a lot of newcomers. Seeing interest in stand space peaking this early is unprecedented.”

Large players in the remanufacturing industry have confirmed their participation at the show. With companies like Autocraft Drivetrain Solutions, Autoenterprises, BorgWarner, Corteco, D&V Electronics, Emmetec, Gobbi Spare Parts, Meritor, Pos Service Holland, Rufre Diesel Injection, TRW, Valeo, WAIglobal and ZF present, the show will be able to provide visitors with a through section of the global remanufacturing industry.

With a strong focus on automotive remanufacturing, segments such as remanufacturing equipment, starters & alternators, transmissions, engines, cores, brake & steering systems are traditionally well-represented amongst exhibiting companies. For the next edition of the show, Klarenbeek says, “We’re noticing an increase in electronic components and ECU’s, as well as a growing turbocharger segment.”

“The sustainable and cost-saving qualities of remanufacturing have helped us build political momentum for the industry,” APRA Europe Chairman Peter Bartel said. “As a result, the industry is growing and we see ReMaTec as an important platform where those involved in automotive remanufacturing can come together to network and do business.”

The growing demand for stands at the show has lead the show organisers to move the event to a larger hall in the RAI Amsterdam complex. An added benefit of this increased floor area is that all the exhibits are together in one large hall.

The next edition of ReMaTec is taking place from 18 – 20 June 2017, at RAI Amsterdam in The Netherlands.
