
Remanufacturing has proven beneficial in diverse industries, such as automotive, aerospace, electronics and machinery. It is not equally applicable to all products to solve their waste generation challenges, climate impacts, and resource use constraints. René Van Berkel is India Representative of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and Rajiv Ramchandra is Founder and Director, Recreate India Research Foundation (Re:CREATe) wrote an article on India’s outlook on remanufacturing that was published in the Economic Times.
Van Berkel also participated as a speaker in the webinar on ‘Remanufacturing and the Circular Economy’ organised by host Ramchandra of Re:CREATe. Together with speakers Yorien de Ruijter, Director of Rematec, and Anirban Ghosh, Chief Sustainable Officer of the Mahindra Group, they discussed rethinking manufacturing in India and transitioning to a circular economy.
